Eva Müller

Biographie DE | Biography English

Eva studied dance at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance
(performance and teaching) and the London Contemporary Dance School (Bachelor of Arts /Honours).

Since then she has been working as a dancer, performer, choreographer
and dance teacher for many companies with different styles and techniques. (see cv)

From 2002 to 2010 Eva was a member of the company homunculus based in Vienna, Austria.

2000 Eva founded her own Company, the Clown Fish Syndrome Dance
Company. A platform which allows Eva to collaborate with different artists from other fields such as film, music, design and architecture. These collaborations make each piece a special experiment and Eva tries to find an authentic individual body and stage language.

A big influence on Eva’s work came through the intense experiences in
Nancy Stark Smiths Research Group for Contact Improvisation. It is this
deep clear focus and the intellectual and in any other way holistic approach of themes that Eva wants to carry on though out her work.

Lately she specialised on side specific pieces, the influence of architecture and performances in public space.

Eva valuates her teaching a lot. It is important for her to really connect to her students and carry them into new filed of dance, performance, emotions and energies.

Eva lives with her partner, their two girls and her dog in Innsbruck.
